Q-Fin F1200 – Deburring, grinding and edge rounding upto 1200mm

With the vision “small for small” and “large for large” in mind, the F1200 deburring machine has been developed by Q-Fin. The machine is able to finish workpieces up to 1200 mm wide at high speed. This deburring machine with optional vacuum or magnet support can be used for the following operations on non-ferrous and ferrous materials: deburring, grinding, edge breaking, edge rounding, slag removal, oxide layer removal, linishing and line grain finishing. A combination of these applications in one pass is also possible.

The F1200 is a machine for deburring, edge rounding and finishing sheet metal parts with a width up to 1200 mm. You determine the finish and degree of edge rounding. Depending on the materials to be processed, you can choose between a vacuum and a magnet system. The conveyor belt system will be adapted to this.

The first station of the F1200 is the grinding unit. This abrasive belt removes the burrs and/or incineration points from the product surface. You can decide yourself on the grain size of the abrasive belt, depending on the height and hardness of the burr. If there are no burrs, you can leave the grinding belt switched off.

The second and third station is the so-called brush unit, fitted with four diagonal counter-rotating brushes. This can break the sharp edges of the product and provide the edges with a large radius. You can also change the surface finish (e.g. more gloss / lower roughness value) by changing the type and grit of the brushes. By placing special brushes, you can remove the oxide layer or do slag removal on steel products when using the F1200-MAG with magnetic product fixation.

The F1200 allows you to do multiple finishing operations in one pass and at high speed.

Suitable for processing:
• Stainless steel
• Aluminium
• Steel

Brush system
The brush unit of the F1200 features four counter-rotating brushes. The brushes are adjustable in height, separately from each other. The brush head oscillates in configurable strokes over the width of the machine. This results in a non-directional finish and smooth edge rounding. The speed of the brushes and the speed of the oscillation stroke are freely adjustable. It is possible to attach 2 + 2 different brushes.

This makes Q-fin the only manufacturer that can offer a combination of processes in one passage. The brush is also equipped with a brush-height compensation system developed by Q-fin. This system ensures ease of use, combined with the continuously highest possible production speed and quality.

Operation
Depending on the materials to be processed, you can choose between a vacuum and a magnet system. The convey belt will be adapted to this.

In the standard edition, the first station of the F1200 exists of a grinding head. The abrasive belt removes the burrs and/or incineration points from the product surface. You can decide yourself on the grain size of the abrasive belt, depending on the height and hardness of the burr. If there are no burrs, you can leave the grinding belt switched off.

The second and third station is the so-called brush unit, fitted with four diagonal counter-rotating brushes. This can break the sharp edges of the product and provide them with a large radius.

Abrasive Belt
The abrasive belt of 1200 mm wide is equipped with an oscillation system. This system ensures the abrasive belt to remain stable, and to avoid snake patterns in the material during the grinding. A fine line grain finish is therefore not an issue with this machine. Furthermore, you can even decide whether you want to have a long or a short imprint.

The grinding head features a unique self-supporting construction, making the F1200 the most stable machine on the market. The abrasive belt speed is freely adjustable. The grain size of the abrasive belt, according to preferences, depends on the height and hardness of the burr. Changing an abrasive belt is done in an instant.
