RESATO INCREASES SPEED OF WATERJET CUTTING

One limitation of waterjet cutting is the relatively low cutting speed, especially with somewhat thicker materials. A solution for this has been to increase the operating pressure up to 6,000 bar.

Benefits of 6,000 bar compared to 4,000 bar:

� cuts up to 50 % faster

� uses up to 40% less abrasive

The Ultrajet pump operates at 50% higher pressure, moving abrasive particles much faster. As a result each abrasive particle creates more cutting energy. Therefore it is possible to cut with less abrasive compared to 4,000 bar pumps.

The Ultrajet 6000 pumps offer the following features:

� Excellent cutting quality due to minimum pressure variations by optimisation of high pressure accumulator, stroke capacity and electronic switching of the intensifier.

� New generation ceramic plungers for extended seal life

� Pressure read-out on PLC touch display through an electronic pressure transmitter.

� PLC control with display provides information about pump status and trouble shooting.

� Service support by internet

� Continuously variable pressure setting of the pump up to 4000 bar via PLC keys.

� Standard provided with water filters and water booster pump

� Automatic tripping in case of high-stroke speed.

� Standard supplied with maintenance tool kit.
