RAS SpeedPunch 500 - Impressive Punching Speed

The RAS SpeedPunch 500 closes the gap between hard-tooled stamping presses and punch/nibbling machines to perfection. A punch tool cassette holds 27 "Thick Turret" style tools in sizes A thru D. RAS designers have paid special attention to high part throughput. The SpeedPunch 500 offers 1200 strokes per minute for nibbling and 1600 strokes for marking. But, there are additional criterias for high-speed production.

First speed factor, all SpeedPunch 500 axes start and stop with two times earth’s gravitational acceleration (2g) and therefore they are fine tuned to the highest dynamics.

Second speed factor: The punching cylinder contacts each tool in the punching cassette within milliseconds. All tools are in the ready position at all times. No tool change or rotational time is required as on a conventional turret punch.

Third speed factor: Unlike traditional punching/nibbling machines, the material in the SpeedPunch 500 moves in one direction only, thus reducing the amount of material travel. The tools and also the punching cylinder move to the programmed position in the fraction of a second to carry out the punching stroke.

TAURUS PUNCHING

The Simasv punching machines, brought into production in the mid '90's, deserve a special mention, not only because as a category they set themselves at the highest level of the machines offered, but also because some of their specific characteristics render them different and unique with respect to the already well-known punching machines of the same class.

The SIMASV punching machines - we could say - "use their head" to beat their competitors in the market. In effect, they are the only models equipped with the innovative patented "frontal head opening" especially designed to greatly reduce the time necessary for loading tools.

Thanks to this technological innovation that the well-known and irritating problem of cartridge jamming found in all punching machines of the same class on the market has been definitively eliminated.
