Safan® has developed and designed an innovative high precision Press Brake for use in the most demanding of production facilities. Safan® is recognised as a leader in the manufacturer of press brake construction and for their use of the latest in control technologies.

The extensive work and development by Safan® over the years has resulted in the first all electronic press brake.

The e-Brake is a fast, accurate, unique, non-hydraulic press brake. By applying mechanics and electronics (mechatronics) a unique drive was developed and patented by SAFAN®. This drive principle is based on the pulley principle resulting in a very even distribution of forces, whereby obtaining the most accurate and constant bending angle along the full range of the machine without the need for crowning.

The Safan® e-Brake sets many new standards with an active safety system integrated in the control, easy setup for tool changes, high accuracy for maximum forming on every stroke, increased productivity, high reliability, decreased energy consumption and less maintenance requirements.

SAFAN® H-Brake

The SAFAN® H-Brake attains the Highest level of quality.

The H of H-Brake not only stands for Hydraulic but also for the Highest quality in all respects. There are many reasons why the SAFAN H-Brake can achieve high productivity when performing precision work, including a construction in which the measuring devices are mounted independently of the side frame. Other distinctive features are the large daylight opening, the variable beam opening (Q dimension), the application of highly dynamic servo valves, the long slideways and a stable and fast backgauge system.

The high-dynamic hydraulic servo-valves together with the cylinders manufactured by SAFAN® itself ensure a correct positioning and the proper amount of pressure for the required forces. The unique design of the servo-hydraulic system yields very high speed and an extremely short cycle time thanks to the extremely fast servo-valve circuits, and all this at a very low power and energy consumption.

RAS UpDownBend

 

When the need arises to fold complex parts, the folding direction can change several times.  The UpDownBend folding system from RAS Reinhardt can achieve this task without the need to flip the part.  This allows a significant increase in productivity and throughput.  This new revolutionary and flexible system has a working length of 3200mm and is capable of folding mild steel sheet with a thickness of 4mm (9 gauge).

 

To achieve the maximum safety level, the machine is always operated from the rear of the machine. The front area of the machine needs to be entered only for tool changes. A completely new gauging system automatically adjusts its size to the actual folding situation. On small and narrow parts, the gauging system reduces its size. On larger blank sizes the gauging system increases to its maximum standard depth of 1510 mm. Extended gauging systems in J or U shape configuration allow stop dimensions up to 3270 mm.

The speed of the UpDownBend machine is also a benefit producing more parts per hour. 80 degrees per second folding beam speed and 60 mm/s travel speed of the upper beam impressively demonstrate the dynamic characteristics of the machine operation.  Most handling operations will be eliminated due to the unique up and down folding capability.

The machine is standard with segmented 204 mm tall goats foot tooling on the upper beam. These tall universal tools can be used to the full 4 mm (9 gauge) mild steel capacity of the machine. The upper beam can open as much as 500 mm.

The machine is complete with the revolutionary 15" Touch & More control.  The Control automatically creates a program, the finished part and the actual bend sequence all with the touch of the control screen.  Simplicity also means automatic blank calculation.

The FLEXIbend with its working length of 3200 mm and its capacity up to 3 mm material thickness, or with 4060 mm and a material thickness of up to 2,5 mm certainly is the most flexible folding system you can find today on the world market. RAS introduces this package machine that already includes the most common configurations.

 

The FLEXIbend will convince you with its breathtaking speed, which allows the operator to produce more parts per hour for a quick return of the investment. For example: the folding beam moves at 90 degrees per second.

 

With the RAS Flexibend in the majority of cases, only one operator is required to bend very large, or complex parts. This is because the entire bending sequence is done on top of the sheet support and gauging system, not outside of the machine.
